Wednesday’s 56th annual P-T-S international athletic meeting at the x-bionic® sphere sports complex in Šamorín received 82,667 points in the quality evaluation, which is the highest rate in its history since its renewal in 2016. The maximum so far was 82,140 points, so the meeting improved its “personal best” by up to 527 points.
In the current ranking of meetings, the P-T-S is in 16th place, followed by events such as the Track Festival in Portland, USA, the traditional meeting in Dessau, Germany, the Texas Invitational in Austin, and another well-known German meeting in Rehlingen, which also took place this year for the 56 time.
Of course, the summer season is just beginning, but even so, the 16th place of our most famous one-day meeting out of 660 evaluated events so far is excellent. For example, the pre-Olympic “Ready Steady Tokyo” race in the Japanese capital scored just 89 points more.
The point gain of the event is created by the sum of points from two criteria – the first part consists of points for the quality of the starting field, the second for the performances of the best five competitors in the 12 highest quality disciplines. In the first indicator, this year’s P-T-S meeting received 1810 points and is ranked 10th, in the second, it received the 19th place for 80,857 points.
